Our vintage mannequin was found with it's tattered fabric bodice as you see here. The brown fabric tells the story of a piece well used in the garment industry. The body is attached to it's original wooden base. We added a wire face and period feltbowler hat which was very popular with the American working class during the second half of the 19th century. We love the story this piece tells of the American Textile Industry... a proud time in our country. Combining the fabric, wood, felt and wire adds a touch of modernity to this sculpture, carrying it through the 21 century.
